CarePartners Hospice earns patient satisfaction award

The staff at CarePartners Hospice has been awarded the 2014 Hospice Honors from Deyta, the company that sends satisfaction surveys to all families following the death or discharge of a patient. The Hospice Honors award is a prestigious award recognizing hospice agencies providing the best patient care as rated by the patient’s caregiver.

“We are so honored to receive this award for the second year in a row. Our staff at CarePartners takes pride in the care they give and feel blessed to be able to walk on that life journey with those we care for.  It truly is an honor to be able to serve our community and to be recognized as a top performer in the nation,” said Honey Miller, Director of Hospice Clinical Services.

This award recognizes the top 100 agencies in the country that continuously provide the highest levels of satisfaction through their care as measured from the caregiver's point of view.

CarePartners offers both home hospice care as well as a 27-bed hospice/solace center on its campus at 68 Sweeten Creek Road in Asheville.

Deyta used the Family Evaluation of Hospice Care (FEHC) survey from more than 1200 partnering hospice agencies contained in its national FEHC database with an evaluation period of January through December 2013. The five questions identified by Deyta as key drivers of caregiver satisfaction were the basis of the Hospice Honors calculations. Hospice Honors acknowledges the highest performing agencies ranked by analyzing calculations made using satisfaction scores during the twelve-month evaluation period.

The five questions used in this determination were:

1. Overall patient care received while under the care of the hospice.

2. Family was kept informed of patient's condition

3. Would you recommend this Hospice to others.

4. Hospice team response to needs in the evenings and weekends.

5. Patient's personal needs were taken care of.
