I am Van. I am an auto mechanic. I am a grandpa. I am learning to skate on my artificial leg.

Van lost his leg and severely injured his arm in a tractor accident. With intensive inpatient treatment at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital, then continued therapy at CarePartners Outpatient, Van regained the use of his arm. He also has an artificial leg now, with the help of CarePartners therapists and Orthotics & Prosthetics staff.

Van is once again working in his automotive shop. He’s back to walking, biking, camping and enjoying life as an active grandpa.
