Being at home alone while a caregiver is at work or managing other responsibilities can be a lonely place. It can also be a dangerous place if there are conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, memory loss and disability. CarePartners Adult Day Services provides a safe, stimulating daytime environment for those who can no longer be safely left alone. Their families can enjoy peace of mind and a rest from the challenges of 24-hour caregiving knowing CarePartners has the services and expertise loved ones need.
Medications, meals, meaningful activities – and more.
Every day at CarePartners Adult Day Services brings opportunities for participants to be with friends and engage in meaningful activities that stimulate mind, body and spirit. A team of qualified, professional staff members provide friendly and compassionate services. The center is open extended hours, offering convenience for caregivers who are working or have other needs and responsibilities. Both half days and full days are available.

The challenges of providing care at home for a loved one can be overwhelming, taking a toll on mental and physical well-being. In addition to providing enrichment for loved ones and respite from the stress of 24-hour caregiving, we also offer support groups and education for caregivers.

Keeping a loved one at home versus placement in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility is possible with the high quality adult day care and adult day health services of CarePartners. Since our start in 1986 as a small program named Mountain Geri-Care, then later called MountainCARE, we’ve helped countless adults and their families remain together at home. As a nonprofit agency, CarePartners Adult Day Services receives funding from United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, which allows for quality care at reasonable rates.
CarePartners has an array of other services that help caregivers. Our Private Care Management program helps identify and coordinate appropriate elder care and resources in the community. We also offer a variety of in-home services, from nursing care to personal care and homemaker services.

CarePartners Adult Day Services is certified by the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services and is an award-winning member of North Carolina Adult Day Services Association. We receive funding from United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, which provides for quality care at reasonable rates.
